\notes The completive aspectual marker is ni1. This is considered a proclitic, placed before a verbal stem. In his these (p. 145) RC notes that the
completive is the only one of the four aspects that is marked by a prefix.

Allomorphy: The proclitic can be replaced by a simple low tone (1) in the following cases:

a) If the verbal stem is monosyllabic with a mid tone the proclitic can be manifested ni1chii3  or the verb stem can have a 13 tone on the only
syllable > chii13  (i.e., this alternates with ni1 chii3)

b) If the verbal stem is disyllabic with a mid tone, the same two possibilities occur: ni1 nu3mi3  / nu13mi3

Thus if the first tone of the verb stem is 3, it is realized as 13.
