Sapindaceae : The Soapberry Family To date two or three species of Sapindaceae have been collected, one of the genus Cardiospermum and the other one or two of the genus Serjania. However, it is possible that another plant, (masa:xokotl), a wild plum tree, is also of this family. The following members of this family have been documented in sources consulted on Guerrero flora: Cardiospermum halicacabum, Dodonea viscosa, Exothea sp., Sapindus saponaria, Serjania paniculata, Serjania triquetra, Urvillea biternata, and Urvillea ulmacea. |
