Loranthaceae : The Mistletoe Family To date several species of this family have been collected in Guerrero although none of have determined to the level of species. It may be that collection numbers 75 and 170 are the same species at different stages of growth. The plant known as ikokomekayo wicha:chih was growing on a huizache The consultant from Ameyaltepec, Inocencio Díaz, mentioned that it is only found on this tree: Acacia famesiana (L.) Willd. The following members of this family have been documented in sources consulted on Guerrero flora: Cladocolea gracilis, Cladocolea pringlei, Phoradendron carneum, Phrygilanthus palmeri, Psittacanthus americanus, Psittacanthus palmeri, and Strutanthus inornus. |
