Lamiaceae: The Mint Family

To date three species of Lamiaceae have been collected in the Oapan, San Juan Tetelcingo, and Ameyaltepec area. Only one has been determined at the level of genus and species, the other two are pending (and one, pipi:nawisxiwtli) may prove to not be a Lamiaceae.

The following members of this family have been documented in sources consulted on Guerrero flora: Asterophyptis stellulata, Salvia confinis, Salvia farinacea, Salvia misella, Salvia occidentalis, Salvia sessei, Salvia sp., Salvia tehuacana, Satureja mexicana, and Thymus vulgaris.
