Amaranthaceae : The Amaranth or Pigweed Family To date two species of this family have been collected in the Oapan, San Juan Tetelcingo, and Ameyaltepec area, belonging to the genera, Amaranthus (1 species) and Gomphrena (1 species). Another species not collected is the domesticated o:lo:xochitl mora:doh, a purple variant of Gomphrena serrata L.

Gomphrena serrata, Iresine nigra, and Amaranthus sp.. |
